Can you believe half the year is gone already?

It’s all been a bit surreal but we have all done really well to keep ourselves and each other safe in Australia and hope we can continue to be mindful and safe as we resume activities.

Tomorrow sees us reopen our classroom and we are beyond excited.

The calendar is packed for July and we also have visiting businesses like Stella and Dash visiting with their first in store ear ring making class on Monday 27th July also.  All bookings are direct through Stella and Dash so it’s not on the calendar but we would love to see you enjoy yourself at this class also.

We popped Suzie in for two days – a Saturday and Sunday to help get over how long it’s been since we did mixed media with her.  Beginners are welcome to attend her classes as the class is slow paced with demonstrations and then creative times staggered.

Remember our Wednesday scrap and chats are FREE 10am – 3pm however we must have bookings for these as we manage numbers and undertake the necessary arrangements for cleaning and spacing.

We would presume it goes without saying now that if you are displaying any cold or flu like symptoms, high temperatures or sore throat, that you stay home and seek medical advice before returning to social activities.

Please do not attempt to attend classes if you are unwell as we will have to ask you to leave for the comfort and safety of everyone.  Many thanks in advance for your co-operation as we work through this unprecedented event and reopening of the classroom.

Hope to see you in store soon!

WHAT’S HAPPENING THIS WEEK

This week Deb and Sue kick off the week with their usual Tuesday class with these gorgeous cards.

Then they back it up on Wednesday with take #2 of Deb’s gorgeous mini album using Celebr8 mini album and Uniquely Creative Wise and Free papers.
Everyone who attended last week’s mini album class is invited back to finish their albums also or just to check they have all the pieces needed to finish it.
Wednesday and Thursday of course are our free Scrap and Chat days where you can bring in whatever it is you’re working on and use our quiet space to just create.
We have some lovely ladies who come to this so if you’re feeling lonely, don’t!  You are welcome to join and make new friends.
Thursday night Sharon has her thrill-seekers join her for an evening class of fun and exploration as we explore oxides and backgrounds, pearl effects and more.
You are always welcome to join us.
Friday morning, Sharon has another class (can’t share samples just yet) but it’s always fun.
Then Saturday sees us kick off the weekend with our first in store retreat for 2020.

And as if that isn’t enough, we are open on Sunday too from 9am – 2pm.
Retreat participants can stay on for free and keep creating and anyone who can’t join us Saturday is welcome to attend a free crop on Sunday between 9am and 2pm.
Bookings are essential though please as we need to prepare the space and tables etc.
We hope your week is just as exciting  but not too exciting that you can’t find time to visit us.

MORE AUSTRALIAN THEMED PAPERS COMING NEXT WEEK

Good morning and happy Sunday!!!!  Rain at last!!!
We so hope you got rain also and your tanks are full and your gardens are happy.  We pray that the rains found many fires and put this nightmare season to an end.
This morning I awoke to the loudest chorus of laughter from kookaburras that I’ve heard in such a long time.  It was as though they were singing in joy at the relief of rain and what it will mean for the wildlife both flora and fauna.  So, I thought it befitting to tell you about something very Australian this morning.
Last year we were fortunate enough to have two Australiana themed collections release before Christmas and your response was overwhelming.
It seems the Australian distributors are starting to listen and Kaisercraft have now made another range, Native Breeze,  available which should arrive late this week.  If you had to wait for our second, third, fourth or fifth reorder last year, you can avoid that by pre-ordering what you want and we will call you as soon as it arrives.  Email us info@aplacetocreate.com.au with your order or call the store on 3851 2200 (Tuesday to Saturday 9am – 4pm).

Here are all the images – the collection includes:

* a 12×12″ collection pack (there are generally 3 papers from the entire collection that are not included in this so if you want them all, you will need to order these 3 separately – just tell the staff and they will know which 3 and add them on for you)

* 9 individual double sided 12×12″ papers

* sticker book

* clear stamps

* 6.5×6.5″ paper pad

* collectables, and

* wood flourishes.

The kit is only $35.00 and includes cards, envelopes, papers, collectables, ribbons, die cuts and everything you’ll need to complete the cards.
 Images will be emailed to you when you purchase the kit.
