See ya later October!!!! Nice knowing you…… and heeeeeellllooooooooo November!!!! After a crazy October with the store being open every day, we made a decision to resume opening just 2 Sundays in November since we are already away one weekend with our first away retreat this year. Well, that idea lasted less than 48 hours as all the teachers scrambled for their choice of dates and times to offer you their classes. As it turns out, weekends off were just a passing thought and we are once again open every day in November with classes every day of the weekends so that hopefully you can get to do some fun stuff amongst your real world duties. Before we say good-bye to October, we have 2 more classes:- Sharon is resuming her Friday morning class tomorrow and Jo is teaching her mini album in a box on Saturday. |

Then we move onto Sunday….. 1st November and we kick it off with our first pop up Artisan and handmade market from 10am – 4pm.
We have over 20 local artisans who are bringing their home made items to sell so you can get your Christmas shopping starte. We will also welcome Beautiful Crazy – a coffee van borne from the fallout of Covid job losses so we are excited to support this wonderful young couple in their new venture.

You are welcome to support the coffee van even if you’re not shopping with us on Sunday.

We have lots of new and amazing classes coming up and we will share more details in upcoming newsletters and on our Facebook Page.
Remember you can always visit our facebook page as it is a public page and you don’t need to have an account, you just won’t be able to comment or request things online.
We have now also launched our new website where you can find details of all the classes (they’ll be added over the next few days for November) as well as some products to purchase or pre-order. All our kits are also there so hopefully this helps those of you who can’t get in store to shop. Obviously our store is too expansive and busy to put all products up as turnover is too quick to maintain a website as well so if you see other items you want, you can just call us or add notes to your order.

Finally, we would like to welcome Susan who is bringing patchwork, quilting and sew and chats to AP2C.
On Monday’s Susan will offer a 6 week medallion course in Patchwork and quilting. Beginners are welcome.
You can bring your own fabrics or buy some from Susan.
Here’s what Susan has to say about herself and her upcoming workshops at A Place to Create.

“I have been quilting for over thirty years. I quilt by hand and machine. Both methods have a strong draw for me as patchwork by hand is so portable and can be done anywhere at anytime, good if you are not in a rush to see the end result. patchwork by machine is great for getting it finished in a limited time. I have tried most methods and like both traditional and modern quilts. I am always ready to try out a new method. I have owned my own patchwork shop and taught many, many classes as well as running retreats over several days. I have participated in workshops with both Australian and overseas tutors. I love to pass on my craft to others and enjoy seeing people grow with confidence week by week.” THE CHAT AND SEW This session will be held on a Thursday and is for finishing off those UFO’S. IT IS NOT A CLASS but Susan will be there to help with advice to get you over that sticking point, or just come along and sew in company with others.Chat and Sew is $10.00 and runs from 10am – 1pm Next Year Susan would like to hold a RETREAT in February, so if you are interested please contact her directly as numbers are limited. All sewing enquiries should be directed to Susan by calling on 0422 283 301 however there are samples of Susan’s work in store you can see or you can meet her at our upcoming market on Sunday. |
