Australian Cardmaker of the Year comes to A Place to Create

It’s nearly September and that means time for another amazing guest tutor to travel the country and make their way to Brisbane to share their talents with us.  On Tuesday 19th September, 2016 Australian Cardmaker of the Year, Anguree Jansen van Rensburg will be visiting to teach two classes – one for the scrapbookers and one for the cardmakers.

Here’s a little introduction to Anguree….
My name is Anguree and I am married to an wonderful guy and as you may know,
I also  live in beautiful Darwin.
Fun fact: I love to travel but
sometimes my all responsible self
gets left at home and the crazy 6
year old within me comes along…
On one holiday I have bungee jumped
with both a pushbike and a scooter.
Why, you ask me?  Uhmm I wanted the photo… 😉😜

I was introduced into Scrapbooking

somewhere in 2005

and have been

addicted ever since.  I generally scrap 12×12

pages, but also enjoy

making cards, tags art journaling and

off the page projects.

My style can vary from grungy to

shabby but I dare say no style is

off limits.

Experimenting with new techniques and products keeps

me engaged and

inspired. It makes it fun and allows me

to jump between different

styles depending on the products

I choose to use.

I am incredibly honored and blessed to be chosen as

Cardmaker of the

year for Simply Cards Magazine and

am serving on a number of different

design teams.

I  really treasure the  friendships I have been able to

build with those who I meet and work with and am blessed

to call many

of them my friends.

I scrap and craft because it makes me happy. I love to

and share the joy it gives me with

others in the hope that it will

encourage them to play

along and find the same kind of happiness.

To me it’s all

about sharing the little things that makes life a

happier place.

Here is a little preview of the colours Anguree will be working with.
The layout will feature a selection of shades of blue combined with fabulous
watercolour techniques while  the cards focus on some gorgeous shabby chic vintage
                                                        white effects.

You can follow Anguree’s work at her blogspot  where you will find many of her published                                                   works including the following ……
