Finally have time to plan something special for yourself this year? The promise of some well deserved time to relax and get creative is a fabulous place to start. Mel has some amazing scrapbooking class options for the year ahead and there is something for every skill level and every budget. Make sure you pop by the store to see all of the samples for these classes in person, being able to see them up close gives you a sense of all of the amazing details that aren’t always seen in a photo. Here’s what to keep an eye out for….
“Limited Edition” is a fully kitted class with full instructions for 2 double page layouts, and is amazing value for money. Each month the kit inclusions change and it is perfect for people who are wanting to learn fabulous techniques all while learning how to make the most of the patterned papers and the embellishments. During class we create one of the double page layouts, leaving one for you to take home and work on at your own pace. We offer this class once a month on the 3rd Saturday of the month at 9:30am till 12 noon. Any remaining kits are available for purchase at the store if you are unable to make it to class.
Our “Storyteller” class gives everyone a chance to reimagine the divided page protectors and turn them into a beautiful home for recording those personal stories and giving your layouts a much needed interactive element. We are finding that people are using these double sided elements as an additional way to use even more images and add to pre existing layouts. It really has become a firm favourite for our customers on a Saturday so we have added a mid week class on a Thursday to give more people a chance to join the fun. A small kit of basics is included in the class cost, you get to add whatever patterned papers and colours you like. Mel has created invaluable ideas on how to make your storytelling even more special with a fabulous journalling prompt to help advance beyond the basics. Storyteller is on the 1st Saturday of the month at 1pm till 3:30pm as well as the Thursday, please check the class calendar for further details.
And lastly, our “Dreamscapes 2021” class makes it’s return for a fourth year of album building fun. Take the theme of your choice….celebration, holidays, favourite places and join us for one class a month for the next 10 months. We have created a great community of people who are working on these large projects, the online support group via social media has made this class one not to be missed. The cost of $250 upfront covers your classes from February to November, gives you access to a private Facebook group and is home to all the information you need to get organised for a fun and productive year ahead. Our first group have already had their first class and were ecstatic with all of the content and help they received, we currently have space for a few more people to join our Saturday afternoon group on the 3rd Saturday of the month, 12:30pm till 3:30pm. It’s definitely not too late to join by yourself or with someone you know will love the opportunity.
